MARINE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT AKS

PURPOSE

The marine air conditioning unit AKS provides air preset parameters in residential accommodations and service spaces of surface crafts and vessels.

When the marine air conditioning unit operates in “Cooling” mode, and when heat duty changes, the accuracy of air preset parameters is provided by smooth change of the refrigeration unit capacity changing the compressor rotating speed.

When the marine air conditioning unit operates in “Heating” mode, the air is heated firstly by means of the refrigeration unit operating in the heat pump mode. If produced heat is not enough, the electric heater integrated into the conditioner starts to operate. Use of the refrigeration unit operating in the heat pump mode permits to save electric power.

The air conditioning unit automatic control system uses frequency (inverting) control over the fan capacity and maintains permanent static air pressure in the pressure air line; it permits to maintain constant quantity of air supplied to other serviced premises when air flow rate changes in one of such premises.

* The marine air conditioning unit has frequency control over the refrigeration unit fan and compressor which permits to maintain thermal conditions more accurate.

** When steam heating is installed on board a ship, air electric heaters are not installed in the air conditioning unit; the air and premises heating is provided only by the heat pump.

*** The marine air conditioning unit may be manufactured as a right-hand or a left-hand air conditioning unit, optional.
